KEEP THE TORCH OF KINDNESS LIT!!

A minute away from shutting down, your help can keep these kitchens alive!!

Dear visitors and friends, we would like to thank you for taking the time to log in, view what we do and appreciate the hard effort we put, day daily (on weekdays), to do our modest share to benefit and be the aid that is so desperately needed by the many thousands of DISPLACED people inside Ukraine. Each for their own reason cannot leave the country, and yet most have no home to return to.

I started Hand-Of-Life יד חיים Ukraine as a person who knew poverty and lack from very close, self-experience. I felt it was my call of duty to use the knowledge and love I have for the kitchen and for people, and do what I can to ease their pain by simply providing a home-style fresh, tasty, nourishing meal, and in the most humane and caring way!

With 3 kitchens operating for the first year and a half of the war, serving daily 400-550 meals, I now remain with 2 kitchens providing 150-180 meals a day in Mukachevo, + 100 meals in Ivano-Frankivsk.

I am not proud to admit or tell, but we are at the brink of closing all operations. I simply gave it all I had in this world, and now surviving and trying to keep the people fed on borrowed money and very small donations or sponsorship. As of today, mid-July 2024, we have cooked, prepared, delivered and served in my dining rooms over 175,000 meals. All the help we had so far in 27 months of operation, including all donations received from around the world, were less than $18,000. All the remaining cost came out of my private pocket, + huge loans from credit cards and the banks!

Those people attending our meals have no other place to turn, and no other crazy person to care for all those elderly and kids! Please let me keep my legacy going till this horrific war is over, or till serious organizations will see what we do and will help keep it alive. See with your own eyes what we do, and especially the way and kindness that we do… HELP KEEP THIS MEGA קידוש ה' FACTORY GOING.
